This policy explains what Octet Partners (“Octet”, “we”) collects through octetpartners.com, why, and the choices you have. Questions: privacy@octetpartners.com.
What we collect
- Your estimate answers: your role, industry, approximate team size, years on current systems, kinds of systems used, language share, team location, how work is done, and data ownership.
- Contact details: name, work email, optional phone number, company name and company website.
- Consent records: which permissions you gave, the exact wording version, and when.
- Technical data: browser user agent, the referring page and campaign (UTM) tags.
- Page version: a cookie that remembers which version of our home page you were shown, so we can compare versions. It contains no personal information and expires after 90 days.
- Analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies, pages viewed and steps completed in the estimate. Form fields are masked and contact details are never sent to analytics.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, company files, data exports, credentials or any personal data about your employees or clients.
How we use it
- To calculate and show your illustrative estimate.
- To contact you about your estimate, using the channels you agreed to.
- With your approval of a specific buyer, to introduce your business to that buyer and register the referral.
- To keep records of referrals and consents, and to meet our legal obligations.
- With analytics consent, to understand and improve the site.
Who we share it with
- Data buyers you approve: only after you agree to an introduction to that buyer.
- Service providers who process data for us under contract: website hosting, database hosting, email delivery and (with consent) product analytics.
- Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Calls and texts
We call or text only if you separately agreed to it. Consent is not a condition of getting an estimate. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or email us.
How long we keep it
We keep lead and referral records for as long as needed to follow up and to support referral registration and payment records, and generally no longer than 36 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires longer.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw consent, opt out of emails, or ask to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing privacy@octetpartners.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have additional rights, including the right to object and to complain to a regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
You can change your analytics choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Security
Submissions are sent over encrypted connections and stored in a database that is not publicly accessible. No method is perfectly secure, so we collect only what we need.
